Hi board, I need to display a n-ary tree. Does anybody have an implementation or logic to position the various nodes? The tree can be arbritrarily huge. Currently the nodes are library - movieClips and added to the _root using attachMovieClip and the connectors/edges are done using lines. I'm having an issue with preloaders (custom, downloaded, and built in components) starting up promptly and showing accurate download percentages. Seems as if there is a few second delay before the loaders pop up, and the loader won't display percentages until it reaches the 30s or even as late as the 60s percentile range. Software is Apache2 (latest), PHP4 (latest), MySQL 4.x, Turck MMCache, and OS is an annoying (old) RedHat... and that's about it. Our traffic is rather low on about 16 hours of the day (where the site works in a desirable speed), and the other 8 hours are rather busy, getting to a peak at about the middle of them. I am trying to make a table with a scroll bar, I've tried like ten different things, none have worked. I have set a vertical limit on the table, I also set a horizontal limit but its not working because I have to much text. I know that motion/shape animations cause less lags then frame-by-frame animation, I'm making a game and I think the speed of the Flash Player is very important. is it better to make all the motions in Flash, then play it directly or export the animation into .gif file and import them in Flash again(in order to make frame-by-frame animation)? Hi, I'm having trouble with something and I'd really appreciate some input. There's a professional website that has an effect I like but I don't know how they did it. www.jwt.com When you scroll over the buttons, the words slide upwards and a different set slides into it's place. The objects/movement are only visible within a rectangle that is as high as the letters. It's fairly simple looking but trickier than I expected. How is this done? I thought (since I'm pretty basic at Flash) that maybe there were white boxes above and below the words, making only the words visible when they were in the center area.
